What I do
I have a passion for data: Gathering it, organizing it, extracting meaning out of it.
I love turning understanding into visual experiences.
With over 20 years of experience of communications in the space sector, I have led teams of artists and communicators through the crafting and delivery of campaigns designed to influence.
Visual Explorations
Pixflow
I've always been fascinated by digital painting tools, and in designing Pixflow, I wanted to create an app experience that would feel more like using a sketchbook in the sense of ideation and cataloguing. In the process of creating it, pixflow came to encompass everything I know about pixels. It is one of my proudest achievements.

Terra
Much of my career has been focused on visualizing spacecraft carrying out complex missions in orbit around planets.
This is an on-going project to create as complete, and high resolution Earth model as possible with publicly available datasets. In the process, I have created a sophisticated workflow to source, edit, up-rez, and segment earth data for visualization purposes.

Astra
From the writings of Carl Sagan to university studies in Orbital Mechanics to a career in scientific visualization, the running thread through it all has been my fascination with space exploration. Below are a few samples of my work that illustrate this theme.

Algos
Casey Reas and Ben Fry's brilliant book on the Processing language (Processing) introduced me to the joys of creative coding and bridged my technical education with my artistic sensibilities. From then on, sketching up ideas with code became an indispensable tool both professionally and artistically.
